WELCOME TO THE CUB REPORTER’S DESK
Gone are the days when trainee journalists were given proper training like how one should go about an assignment , tap sources for story, build a network and write a proper copy.
I thought of using my reporting experience with students I am teaching or mentoring so that they get some basic idea about picking up right kind of assignments, making reliable sources and an effective network and then writing a flawless copy.
Journalism students as part of their basic learning are always told to develop flair for observation, be aware to the happenings around and cultivate ‘nose for news’ if they wish to create a good content through their writings. Not everyone does this and pick pen to write something different but there are always good students who listen to their teachers carefully and use their writing to become noticeable in the class.
It’s my pleasure to help train & help such students as Cub Reporters and give them opportunity to be part of this exclusive section. Wishing them all the best and hope tomorrow they mark their presence in media.
Modern day youth is full of new idea and creativity, what they need is just a proper channelization of their creative energy so that they can earn a good name and be prepared to face the professional challenges ahead.
